Разделительные вопросы, они же вопросы с хвостиком, а по-английски tag questions или disjunctive questions, обычно не вызывают вопросов.
Но я вижу здесь одну причину – их используют меньше, чем остальные типы вопросов.
А зря!
С ними ваша речь становится более богатой, разнообразной и выразительной. Поэтому давайте все же разберем эту тему.
Tag questions — это вопрос не с целью получить ответ, это вопрос, заданный, чтобы получить подтверждение своим словам. Хвостики — это переспрос, который создан, чтобы вывести вашего собеседника на дополнительный разговор или реакцию.
Представьте ситуацию – вы разговариваете с кем-либо и вроде как знаете, о чем идет речь, но необходимо уточнение. В таком случае вопрос с хвостиком будет уместен как никогда
- The bus stop is over there, isn’t it? – Автобусная остановка вон там, так?
- I’m never on time, am I? — Я никогда не прихожу вовремя, да?
- She isn’t so awful, is she? – Не такая уж она и ужасная, правда?
- You don’t eat sweets, do you? – Ты же не ешь сладости?
- We got some milk, didn’t we?- У нас было немого молока, не так ли?
Главной особенностью таких вопросов является наличие двух частей – главной и хвостика. Хвостик всегда связан с главной частью; он зависит от того, какая форма глагола используется в предложении. Если в главной части стоит, например, do, то и в хвостике будет этот же глагол, только в отрицательной форме (то есть с частицей not). В итоге в разделительной части мы получим глагол don’t.
Если же в главной мы используем глагол с отрицательной частицей not, то в хвостике, наоборот, будет утвердительный глагол do.
- It doesn’t work, does it? – Эта штуковина не работает, не так ли?
- Michael goes swimming twice a week, doesn’t he? — Майкл ходит занимается плаванием дважды в неделю.
Это же правило применимо и к остальным временным формам глаголов.
- They won’t report us, will they? – Нам не сообщат, да?
- She is going to drive herself, isn’t she? – Она собирается вести машину сама, не так ли?
- So you haven’t heard any noise, have you? – Получается, вы не слышали никакого шума, так?
- I’m good at programming, aren’t I? – У меня хорошо получается программирование, правда? (Здесь стоит обратить внимание на форму глагола в хвостике. Допустимо использовать am I not, но тогда это будет звучать ну уж очень формально, поэтому в большинстве случаев все же используют aren’t I. Или совсем разговорный вариант ain’t I. Но это уже тема отдельной публикации:))
